Frequently asked questions
Who gets the 1,000 welcome points?
New PowerGoodies users, once per account. You get them on your first qualifying charge at any Source EV hub, started with an eligible charging card that you linked in the PowerGoodies app before you charged.
What do I need at the charger?
An eligible RFID charging card that you have linked in the PowerGoodies app, such as a Source EV subscription card or a card from one of Source EV's roaming partners, like the Octopus Electroverse card. Start the session by tapping that card on the charger. If you don't have an eligible charging card yet, you can get one from Source EV or one of its roaming partners.
How many points do I earn at Source EV Colchester?
At Source EV Colchester Stanway you earn 2 points per kWh on eligible sessions. On top of that, new users can earn 1,000 welcome points, 150 points for linking a charging card, 150 points for adding an email address and 250 points for every friend they refer who charges with PowerGoodies.
What are my points worth?
Rewards in the PowerGoodies Shop start at 1,000 points, for example a £5 gift voucher. So the welcome points for your first charge are enough for your first reward.
Do I get 1,000 points again at another hub?
No. The 1,000 points are a one-off welcome bonus per PowerGoodies account. After that you earn 2 points per kWh at every Source EV hub.
Do I start the charge in the PowerGoodies app?
No. Start the session at the charger with the charging card you linked. PowerGoodies recognises eligible sessions and adds your points after the session has been processed.
How much does EV charging at Source EV Colchester cost?
Source EV publishes its current prices per hub on source-ev.com. If you charge with a roaming card, your card provider sets the price you pay. PowerGoodies points come on top of that.
Is EV charging free at Source EV Colchester?
No, charging at Source EV is paid. With PowerGoodies you get something back: every eligible session earns points that you can swap for rewards.
Is PowerGoodies free?
Yes, the PowerGoodies app is free. Your charging card or Source EV plan may have its own costs, so check those with your card provider.
